Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Exam Board (JCECEB) is responsible for conducting admissions to medical and dental courses in the state of Jharkhand. The counselling for 85% State Quota seats is conducted by JCECEB, while the counselling for admission to 15% All India Quota seats is held by Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), New Delhi, on behalf of Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The counselling is conducted after the declaration of NEET results.
Candidates are granted admission to the medical and dental colleges of Jharkhand based on their NEET UG scores. Candidates seeking admission to Jharkhand state medical or dental colleges are required to register online by filling an application form. There are around 300 MBBS seats and around 350 BDS seats in Jharkhand.Candidates are called for the counselling sessions of JCECEB in offline mode. Counselling is conducted in two rounds followed by a Mop-Up Round.
