WHO CONDUCTS NEET
Till 2018, NEET was conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). From 2019 hence, NEET will be conducted by the National Testing Agency for admission to MBBS and BDS Courses in India in Medical and Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament i.e. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry.
The NTA or National Testing Organization is an independent is an autonomous organization set up by the Department of Higher Education MHRD, Government of India to conduct exams for higher education. It is the responsibility of the NTA to conduct the exam on an all India basis, declare results and provide an, “All India Rank Merit List, to the Directorate of General Health Services at the Ministry of health and Welfare for conducting the counseling process
How Will NEET (UG) Be Conducted In 2019?
In Previous years till 2018, NEET was conducted twice, once in February and once in May. However, on directions from the HRD ministry, NEET 2019 will be a single pen and paper exam to be conducted on May 5th 2019. The February session has been discontinued. Sitting for NEET UG will make a student eligible for gaining admission to over 66,000 MBBS and BDS seats across India depending on the scores and counseling process.

AGE LIMIT | 17 years as on December 31, 2019 and not above 25 years as on May 7, 2019 |
QUALIFYING EXAM | 10+2/12th/equivalent examination NRI/ foreign students should have passed an exam equivalent of class 12 in India |
SUBJECTS ELIGIBILITY | Candidates must have Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as their subjects in Class XII. NIOS students who opted for Biology as an additional subject are also eligible |
